People have been wondering and asking questions. Questions like; Why am i falling in motivating people? Why are people never understanding me? Why are they so stubborn and unyielding, even after my stressful speech? Why are they not improving?
First and foremost i will say that your problems and solutions resides in you and you alone.
What is leadership? well according to Dwight Eisenhower, Leadership is that art of getting someone to do something or a thing you want done, because he(that person), wants to do it.
So what Dwight was talking about here is that there is a way you'll motivate somebody (at least), that particular person will do something that's nice for you, go orders for you, even become more productive and reliable to and for you, and the result is......Breakthrough!!
So we've got Seven major motivating factors for your business, Firm Associates, Family, Customers, that we are dealing on today. Please tighten your seat belt and get ready for take-off with me. Alright lets go!
The number one factor for productiveness in business, which leads to motivation is, Self-Discipline.
Many people are aghast with the word, 'Self-Discipline', saying that, we all have the trait, well the good news is that, we don't have the trait, "Self-Discipline', but we make use of the trait.
Self-Discipline is a language of its own; a very effective one of its kind, having a capability to change anyone that uses it well. So we learn this trait just like Children or docile adults, learns a new language.
People who learns this trait, never look down on any one, buy any excuse, apologies, from people or business who are performing below expectation give to them.
Reason is because they believe that everyone has unique potentials for success, the only thing is their lack of ability to know and bring it out. As a leader you are a motivator!
The second Factor is Get Input from your Business Associates.
Woodrow Wilson mentioned that, he not only use all his brains he have, but all he could borrow!
People, who are wonderful Motivators ask their friends in business, questions like, "How do we maintain our relationship with customers, who says we are nice people and they are comfortable doing business with us?
Remember that our questions are rated by the quality of our Good Motivational- Educational Skill. So the more you have good information or get updated on Motivational skills, the more you're successful on being a good motivator!
A good motivator who is also a good leader always ask questions that propagate sales ideas and build great success from that.
Know vividly your owners and never forget your victims, is the third factor and mind you, people who takes full responsibility for their joy or happiness are 'The Owners', while those who are blaming any situation usually falls in the segment of 'The Victims'!!
You can really help your business associates to step out of 'The Victims' mode to a more better mode 'The Owners' and please know that people mostly have these traits all in them.
So the solution is that, if you appreciate them and get excited when they are in their Owners mode or hearing them patiently, being honest and realistic never buying to their negative thinking, when they are in their 'Victims mode', then you're on the right path!
Look, being a 'Victim' is being manipulated and that's so painful and so zero!! So just encourage, nurture and bring out the best in people under you!
The fourth power in achieving Motivation for others is, Focus on the Result, not the Excuse!
Warren Bennis once said that, "A leader has to be able to change an organization that is dreamless, soul-less and vision-less....someone's got to make a wake up call."
You know why your folks(business or whatever) are not producing effectively or being productive?....it's because they don't want to, simple!
So if you are always giving orders and all your subordinates are following you sheepishly all the time, then the result is that, they would start behaving like a Child, thinking you are their parents....and you know what Children do?.....they complain! Because there is no leverage or focus!!
The major Joy Leaders get is the Great Results! and it's not really gotten from ordering your Subordinates all around! So the nice act is hiring people who want to do what you want to do and doing it well.
See, if you want something, you'll get it! Also with your guys, if they follow your way with all their heart, then you'll see Results faster than ever! And that brings us to the next fact.
'Knowing your Purpose', which is the fifth factor for great ways in motivating people.
But it is very hard to motivate people when you don't have any scrap out time to talk with the people you want to motivate. Leaders whose subordinates are not performing well are all traceable with doing nothing at all, all day, and then when Something strikes there is a 'failing rush'. Yep, i call it that because, it's like when the head is already off!
You can motivate people by introducing some game element in your business. You may ask, "what is he talking about?', well take for example you are always angry at your employees, because they are always coming late or absenting themselves most times every week, then there is a solution!
Invent some game cards and give it out to employees that are regular and punctual, the one with the most cards get a wonderful Prize at the end of the month!
Just try that and check whether that problem of Absenteeism is still there at the end of the month, the answer is that, it has completely disappeared!!
Motivation in the right way does more than magic-trick on people, it awakens them to their responsibility speedily!!
The sixth factor in motivating your Subordinates or people around you is, Just Relax.
Yep, just relax, take a deep breath and relax! you know why? Someone said something, she said that, "A frightened Captain makes a frightened Crew."
You can't help anyone, when you yourself needs help!...its not possible! So before you motivate someone, first relax and then concentrate, because if you do these things, you're good to motivate people more greatly than ever!
If you are trying to get something and you are tensed! then get ready for frustration and defeat. There is nothing so downtrodden than you use all your strength wanting to get something and then at the end of the day, you notice that, after everything you're back to square one!
So if you want to be best in all you do, you need to calm down, there is no happiness in nervousness or being tensed! And you can effect the necessary change in the lives of your wanting to help subordinates, when you add this to your day to day activities.
And don't forget to breath while you relax yourself.....its important!
The seventh factor which is the last of all the factors we are dealing with at this moment is, Let your people find it!
Yep, after you have seize responsibility, taught them on how to teach themselves by themselves, the next step is giving them the opportunity to bring out the best in them not by you all that, but by them.
A one time President of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt, once said, "People ask the difference between a leader and a boss. The leader works in the open, and the boss in covert. The leader leads and the boss drives."
Remember that, someone who does a particular thing continuously, with time, becomes a master in whatever he puts Himself into.
What works for you may not work for another and how you do something and it becomes Splendid, may not be someone's own Formula. The great thing in it is that, all will arrive at the same goal and destination!
So give your Subordinate the freedom to choose and work with the way that he or she is easy to work with, provided you have your realization or more, at the sweet end!
Summarily, i will like to drop my pen in saying that, nobody is a nobody or a useless entity. We all are awesome, splendid, great, nice, sweet, beautiful, Excellent, Great Goal getters, Destiny Achievers!
